I am a practising psychotherapist, registered with the Association of Psychotherapists and Counsellors (Singapore) and the International Council of Integrative Psychotherapists (UK). I practise a variety of therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Solutions Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and Clinical Hypnotherapy, etc.

I am also an ICF-trained certified coach, with extensive corporate and management experience, which enables me to work with clients who may not have psychological challenges but are keen to be coached to achieve higher performance and to commence on a journey to actualise fuller potential.

My 19-year corporate career has allowed me to flex my capabilities in organisational strategy, people and change management, solutions-based consultative sales, consumer psychology, and marketing, research-driven product development and project management.

My research interests include leadership, behavioural ethics, organisational/industrial psychology and organisational management. I am keen on investigating the underlying mechanisms responsible for wellbeing and organisational outcomes and helping to improve the experience of vulnerable groups within the workplace. My doctoral research is on developing Psychological Capital in high-performance systems to improve employee engagement and reduce stress and turnover intention.

The Big 5 Personality test describes me as an Empathic Idealist who uses insight and creativity to help others, and is driven to make the world a better and more beautiful place; and I am also an Analytic Thinker who problem-solves using rational, complex analysis and continually thinks about innovative ways to improve systems.

I am an adventurous, inquisitive and perceptive MBTI-ENFP (Extraverted, Intuitive, Feeling, and Prospecting) ambivert. Born & bred in Singapore, I have also lived in Australia for study and work across 16 years, namely in Perth, Melbourne and Sydney. I am married to a Frenchman and a mother of two mighty girls. I have a penchant for uni (sea urchin) and most things umami (the savoury fifth taste), good wine and travel.

Personal Philosophy

I am an avid life-long learner and believe in the deliberate practice of the growth mindset, and that the key to unlocking better performance is to continually dare to operate outside one’s comfort zone. I also believe that mistakes are welcome on any learning curve and that there is no deadline for success, and learning traits of resilience and perseverance can establish a constructive pathway into the future.

A favourite quote that I identify with is Nietzsche's "One must still have chaos in oneself to be able to give birth to a dancing star." I subscribe to the belief that often, for a person to grow, it is absolutely natural to have internal conflict and competing desires to overcome, and that it is necessary to experience and process the chaos that is within; but acknowledging and overcoming these will lead one out of mediocrity, to subsequently become something greater, and possibly through continual improvement and the right guidance, such chaos can “give birth to a dancing star.”
